If you appreciate the work that we are doing in numerous Learning Centres and other community initiatives in the six surrounding villages of Mangar, Alampur, Dhauj, Silakhari, Sirohi and Khori, and wish to contribute financially in a small way, you can sign up as an Annual Supporting Member of the Laksh Foundation for Rs 3000.
Our FunRaiser is our way of thanking all our members, patrons and well wishers for their precious support, of bringing them all together for a day filled with love and laughter as well as an initiative to raise more funds for the upcoming year to enable us to continue doing what we do.
All food, drinks and entertainment on the day of the FunRaiser is complimentary for Supporting Members. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy a blissful farm day amidst the gorgeous Aravallis while simultaneously doing your good deed for the year!
Like every year, this year on the 10th of December the Laksh FunRaiser promises to be wholesome fun with great snacks, great food, great beverages, great games, great stalls, great lucky draws/auctions with great prizes.
All age groups will enjoy the farm ambience, the winter sunshine, the elaborate array of snacks and beverages (when did you last get served Chaach, Nimboo paani and dark carrot Kaanji out of a Matka? ) … followed by a scrumptious, homemade, traditional farm buffet, and a variety of desserts, including fresh hot jalebis made in our own organic Desi Ghee . And, lest we be accused of not thinking things through, if the need arises, you can always loosen that belt a notch or two and enjoy a gentle snooze on the many charpoys and hammocks scattered around the lawns while the children take a camel or tractor ride.
Browse through the stalls set up by our Laksh women’s cooperative, other local artisans, independent farmers and entrepreneurs…. and bid frenetically for the lovely items on Auction….. all for a great cause!! Your purchases and bids will not be covered under your Membership.
And finally, enjoy the sheer magic of Shubha Mudgal’s vocals as they reverberate across the valley, against the backdrop of the Aravallis.
